Matthew Bairstow
I'm a first-year Computer Science student at the University of Strathclyde, and I write software for the driverless system at University of Strathclyde Motorsport.
Before university I did an HNC in Cyber Security at New College Lanarkshire, so I came into the degree already writing Python and thinking about how systems fail. At USM I work in C++ and Python on ROS, with the car's CAN bus underneath. Outside of code I've been a volunteer leader with the Scouts since 2022, and I work part-time at Tesco.
